Common questions
Are my images stored anywhere?
No. Files live in memory only while the conversion runs, then they are discarded. Nothing is written to disk and nothing is written to a database. We keep the format, the byte counts, and how long it took — nothing that identifies you or your picture.
How many files can I convert at once?
Twenty per batch, up to 50 MB each. A single file comes back on its own; several come back as one ZIP.
Which format should I pick?
WebP is the safe default for the web today — noticeably smaller than JPG and supported everywhere. AVIF goes smaller still and is worth it when page weight really matters. Stay on PNG when you need lossless pixels or transparency.
Does converting lose quality?
Every lossy re-encode costs a little. We pick the quality level per image from its size and pixel count, which keeps the loss under what the eye notices at normal viewing distance. You can override it if you want to.
